It’s been well over a decade since I first heard the name and voice of RuthAnne (RuthAnne Cunningham). Somewhere on a burned CD I still have one of her old songs – a ballad called “Rain” that was about domestic abuse. Back then she already had a powerful voice and thoughtful style. In the intervening years she’s emerged as a hit songwriter while still retaining those remarkable vocals.
What a joy it is to be able to celebrate the release of her debut album Matters of the Heart. Here’s hoping for many more.
